STL Engineering utilizes the latest 3D laser scanning equipment including multiple types of scanners and post processing software to accurately represent existing site conditions. Many of our projects involve existing structures and equipment in industrial facilities where drawings may not be available or up to date. STL Engineering routinely self performs 3D surveys of areas as small as a single piece of equipment up to entire plants. We utilize the 3D point cloud data from the surveys to assist with 3D layouts and interference avoidance. This technique results in more accurate designs with less time required for field dimensioning and less time dealing with fit up issues during installation.
